Last night I stayed up late studying mechanical wings and the stystem used to create them. I drew some schematics for the wings I saw and this morning I made a mock-up armature of a pair of small wings out of metal brads, a shoe box and a few rubber bands. Let me tell you, they work beautifully. I'm proud of it! I might take a WIP picture of it later. I want to start feathering it after I find a suitable mount. And some tape...

I also might start a bit of costuming in the form of making clothing. Another first for me. I bought loads of stuff, as mentioned in the previous journal entry, including several yards of fleece for the sole purpose of costuming.

I'd like to get some of that cheap foam stuff and start using my clay again. Looks like a whole new range of interests has opened for me. Or really, reopened. I might start doing a wider range of crafting from now on but then again, I'm pretty lazy so who knows where this'll go.
